This provided a slow burn mystery that I didn’t realize I needed. There were a few times where I wish it wasn’t quite as slow, but that might’ve also been partially how my reading schedule played out this week.

There wasn’t any point in the story where I said, “Oh, I already know how this one is going to end.” My guesses were changing constantly, and were often wrong.

I enjoyed the family dynamics and the ties into the reality show and music businesses. It feels like a 3.5, but rounding up because the characters felt original and Lena made a pretty good detective by not giving up on her sister. Jury's still out on Erin.

It started off with so much potential and it really had me engaged…at first. Then it got boring.

Desiree is a rich, party girl who is dead at 25. Her sister Lena is in a mission to find out what really happened to her sister. The thing is we go through days and days of her waking up, riding her bike, getting on Instagram, thinking she found the killer being wrong, then it starts all over again.

However, I did like how Lena went after the truth surrounding her sisters death. She refused to take the reasoning behind her death.

3.5 or 3.75 is my actual rating but rounding it up here.

Okay, so I was a little hesitant to pick this up, and although I dont think this did anything super unique, I WAS INVESTED! The whole time. I was listening to this while doing some other tasks and the whole time I was in the book. I didn't need to stop and I wasnt waiting for it to be over. No, I was just enjoying my time trying to figure out what was going on.

So many twists and turns with every chapter. As soon as you think you know who did it, another suspect/angle gets thrown at you. I love the Social Media chapters, making you feel closer to Desiree.
