If you're desiring an adult fantasy with found family and enemies to reluctant allies to lovers, this is the series to read. Each book felt cohesive in the story and held the same quality as the first.

If you want a series where there's a realistic depiction of adults having sex without several pages dedicated to it, this is also the perfect series.

I listened to the audiobooks but I will be getting all of the books physically following this so I can annotate the shit out of them.

The pacing of this third book versus the second confirms to me that this should have been a duology. Solid engineering to the trilogy, satisfying as to all MCs. Bittersweet at the climax with

Skedi's self sacrifice

but it made sense I thought.

This was such a well-done ending to this trilogy! I don’t have much to say other than that this is a four-star across the board series and I would highly recommend to anyone who likes complex, multi-POV fantasy stories with a heavy emphasis on relationships to gods and faith.

I hit a point in this where it just felt like all gas, no breaks which definitely wasn’t a bad thing. I do feel like it hit the climax super late and then the resolution was very brief but all in all I thought it was a great end to this lovely trilogy.
