The third and final in the trilogy and I blubbed 😭
Not going to lie though…I do find battle scenes mind numbingly boring when they’re too long and some of these really dragged for me 🤔
Either way I really enjoyed the whole trilogy!

What a conclusion ! The pain and the tears !
Hannah Kaner created a wonderfully rich world of gods and wars, and I am so sad it is over !
That last volume was a very strong one, I loved all the POVs and discovering other lands, customs and FOOD ! The food descriptions in this series are something else !
The ending shattered me but it's a great ending. I'll remember our team for a long time. Elo is still my favourite character and I enjoyed the war planning and scenes a lot !
I definitely recommend this trilogy if you love epic fantasy with great world building and complex characters ! Also wonderful queer representation and characters with disabilities !
I was rooting so hard for Elo and Arren, I knew it couldn't end well, but my heart bleed for Elo...

It breaks my heart to give this a rating of 3.75.
This was a SOLID end to an impressive trilogy. My disappointment stems from the desire for the ragtag found family to spend more time on page together, reminiscent of book 1. With that said, I fully understand why the characters remained separated until the end of the book. I also found my reading experience dragging whenever I found myself following the POVs of Arren and Elo. Their murky romance subplot never felt natural, nor did Elo's actions make sense toward the end, and I admittedly by war scenes boring. So unfortunately this book was my least favorite in the series, but a strong ending overall! And I do not regret meeting the lovely characters of Kissen, Ino, Elo, and of course Skediceth 💜
