Alice Feeney’s books always feel like a breathe of fresh air in the sea of thrillers. I’ve read probably over 50 thrillers this year and this and rock paper scissors are one of the few that don’t give me the feeling I’m reading the same thing all over again. I love her writing. Does it feel a bit too poetic (fortune cookie style) sometimes? Maybe, but it always fits the literary vibe of the stories.

well that was a little ridiculous...but i didn't hate it? Enjoyed the lead up to the twist, but there is one aspect of the twist that I don't love in more ""whodunit" mysteries
