I hope this man will never sell a single book again. He’s a creep with an ego that is too easy to break. Some therapy might be needed.

The writing was horrible with zero flow, honestly choppy as all hell. I understand that this is a relatively short book and it is suppose to be “satire” but even satire requires thoughtfully composed writing.
This book as though the author just wanted to write the most deplorable and hate filled things about women and punish them under the guise of “satire”. The dedication to hailey is further evidence of this. For an author to be this butt hurt over a review is CRAZY. To go as far as to write a book is wild. The inability to take criticism is shocking.
And then the introduction - talking about how his brother sent him a d!ck pic… and how amazing he is at writing sex scene had me like 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 HUH?!?!?!?
Anyway, back to the book. A woman is obsessed with finding a partner, she gets diagnosed with HIV and then finds a boyfriend at the HIV support group, they proceed to have unprotected sex and it ends on a cliff hanger where his doctor calls him with bad news. The writing is filled with negative stereotypes and comments about women all in the name of “satire”. But as I said earlier it wasn’t very satirical.
Maybe Matt just wrote this because he knew he’d get attention from it??

I've never laughed so hard while reading. Despite Matt Shaw being the author, this is NOT an extreme horror. It's not even horror.
I will be rereading this book anytime I need a good laugh.
If my husband see this review, I need a new hoover and an air fryer.
The plot twist & ending weren't what I expected but I still enjoyed the book.

This book is terrible. Not only are the characters flat, dry and unlikeable, but the author's personal views bleed through into the story. There is so many cliches about women in this novel I found myself questioning whether he ever had relationships with sane, healthy women. The author cannot write in the perspective of a woman. A lot of the choices the MC made throughout the story were ridiculous and didn't make a lot of sense. It was supposed to be satire but nothing about the book is comical. I saw that the author considers this a "romance," which is alarming. Not one scene in this book is romantic, or screams smut/romance. It does say "I'm a creep who never had experience with strong women in my life so I write sick juvenile fantasies about rape and fill my mediocre, trashy books with misogyny. " Also, that creepy introduction talking about his personal life, made me want to vomit. Let's not forget he dedicated the book to a woman and called her a Nazi and a trout. Yikes. This author is problematic and inappropriate to readers. I added him to my do no read list.
Honestly, his poor character isn't even the reason I rated this 0 stars. His writing is messy, characters are flat and there is literally no development to the MC. This book is clearly his attempt to show the world that he lacks in his personal life so much that he needs to spew sick fantasies.

Author got mad at a reviewer and then gave a shout out in the most disgusting way and tried to sick their cronies on them too. I'd give 0 stars if I could. https://twitter.com/exclusivePBL/status/1693423323932176390

Seriously Not Funny Comparing someone to a Nazi in a dedication is NOT funny. Nothing funny about this so called book, just degrading to women.
