This book is a rollercoaster ride that you absolutely have to experience! With its gripping suspense, surprising twists, and a storyline that keeps you guessing until the final pages, it’s impossible to put down. Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, the plot throws you a curveball that will leave you stunned. Ivy’s determination to seek revenge against Lola is both mesmerizing and completely unhinged, adding to the gripping intensity of the story. I was completely engrossed and couldn’t tear myself away. If only there were a follow-up—I’d be the first to dive into it! This is my first book by Shanora Williams, and after experiencing this crazy journey, I definitely plan on reading all of her other thrillers.

I enjoyed this book because it gave me what I needed, a mindless, page-turning popcorn thriller. I liked the premise and I liked having an unlikeable, and unreliable, narrator. The way the characters spoke to each other, however, felt more like an over the top telenovela than serious thriller. Sometimes you want steak. Sometimes you want a McDonald's burger. This was a McDonald's burger. Proceed accordingly.
