This is a quick binge-worthy debut thriller novel with a medium-burn revenge plot and a whole lot of obsession. There were a few plot holes and inconsistencies throughout the story, and I found the execution of the revenge plan could’ve been written about way better and paced slower. I was able to predict most of what would happen at the end and was only surprised by a few things. Everything is kind of tied together at the end but there is a little bit of an ambiguous ending which compels you to determine what happens next. This wasn’t a fantastic read, but you do get what you expect; nothing more than that. This is a good one if you’re just looking for a palet cleanser and needing to add another book to your reading challenge.

First Shanora Williams book! I really enjoyed the journey but this story wasn't all that special or shocking to me.

2.5/5 stars! Wouldn't recommend it.

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive.  This book of revenge started out promising, but ultimately fell a little flat at the end.  The ending was left open and I’m thinking there will be a part 2.

Well that was a twist ending I never saw coming. Maybe I should have, but the rest of the book was a continuous stream of happenngs. Fast paced with always something new going on with the storyline, this book will draw you into they crazy lives of Ivy and Lola and the people that surround them.

There honestly isn't too much I can say about this book that isn't already stated in the synopsis without giving anything away. The way Shanora weaves this web of lies, deception and secrecy is great. You may not be shocked by every turn of events, but you will be shocked.

I was fortunate to enjoy this one on audio and it was fantastically done. I loved the narrator who always seamed cool and collected like Ivy, even thought there was so much more going on behind the scenes.

Thank you to RB Media Recorded Books and Netgalley for a copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

I was told this was fast paced, which it was not.
