I really wanted to like this book, it sounded really good. The damaged but Alpha male role is one of my favorite but this one failed to deliver on too many points. We failed to learn the history of why Colton is damaged. Rylee although supposed to be feisty and the one to tell him No, fails to really push back on Colton. The endless push, pull without resolution just got annoying after a bit, and it didn't end since it is a To Be Continued ending which I really dislike. The second book does sound more interesting than this one though.

18.11.24 - Tried again for lolz and finished it. This sure is a poorly written something. Going to read the series because I've now promised people a summary, but oof. Hugely confused about all the 5 star reviews this gets. The phrase "skin-gloved muscles" is going to haunt me as a waking nightmare for the rest of my life.

Genuinely could not. The writing was so bizarrely bad. Insta-lust also never does it for me when it’s wordless but in this case having it follow on a panic attack was also unbelievable. I guess I won’t read the series?

Creo que me siento extorsionada, se que voy a seguir leyendo aunque algunas cosas me causen un poco de aversión, la verdad es que me gusta la parte de la adrenalina y el romance obviamente, pero los excesos, las exnovias perras, la actitud de patan en algun punto me hicieron dudarle.

Wow, Colton Donovan! I read this book hearing good reviews of it. I got hooked right away. I loved Rylee's character and how she has so much love for her boys and The Home. I love the attitude and sass she give. Colton Donovan....hot, arrogant, knows women fall at his feet. Bad boy on the surface, I love how he has to actually try and shows his real self when getting to know Rylee. The Chemistry is undeniable with these two. The story is great, I love the way that they seem to bond over The Boys and how he lets her in like he has not let anyone else before,not even his family. I love how he got past her walls of guilt and grief. Great secondary characters also. As soon as I finished I had to get the 2nd book Fueled and read it.
