Of Water by Cori Vidae is a short story in her Erotica Under Glass:She's On The Bottom series.

This book was a very quick read and I wished there was more to it. The story is not all that complex but I think there is a lot more in between the lines stuff that not everyone would get in such a short story. I found it to be quite poetic in the way it was written. It was quite a haunting tale that gave off quite a bit of beauty in the few pages it has.

As it is such a short story I will not talk about the plot but I will say that author has very cleverly written this book in a way that I feel that they story could be a metaphor for other things. It is open to interpretation as to what the point is so each reader will have a slightly different experience with it.

Emotions come rushing through in this story and it really drives them home to you. A good read.

Book Review: Of Water
Author: Cori Vidae
Five Stars
Very short very quick book about a woman who has suffered great loss in her life. This short story seems to encapsulate the very meaning of depression and being in such a deep dark place that it seems there is no hope. Then when you are in the depths of despair you realize you don't want to be sucked into the black darkness and all you need or want is for someone to make you feel alive again. The heroine in this book seems to have been found just in the nick of time. Yes it may seem like it is just for the one time yet what you can find in that one moment, can last a lifetime and give you hope for the future.
For me, today of all days, the day before the 16th anniversary of losing my brother, my best friend, this story gives me hope. To know there is something and maybe even someone out there somewhere who will make me feel alive again.
Thank you Cori Vidae. Today of all days I really needed this read.
Kelli Harper.

Of Water (Erotica Under Glass series) by Cori Vidae.
5 stars!
In all honesty I do not know how this author writes such wonderful stories in so few pages! They really are great little reads and Of Water was no exception. I actually think this was my favourite to date! As always it was fast paced but even though it is fast I still found that after I had finished it I still felt like I had read a whole story. The characters were well developed in such a short space of time. Her writing is always steamy but so well written! This story was just so emotional yet beautiful. The main character Mara is at a point where she is questioning everything after a very tragic event. She finds herself at peace with the sea but soon discovers she has gone a lot farther than she anticipated.
As always I will be eagerly awaiting the next part in this delightful series by Cori Vidae.

Of Water (Erotica Under Glass) by Cori Vidae is a story about depression and emotional struggles that the character Mara is going through. She is struggling to stay afloat but when one man helps her, will she be saved? Will she rediscover her will to live? I love this author creative writing style and the way that she can pull you in from the first word. This is a short story but it tells a whole lot during the few pages. One of the things I love about this author's characters is that they are connectable and true to life. You are guaranteed to get an adventure with all of her characters and this one is no different. Her stories are always red hot and burning your fingers as you turn the pages. You won't want to miss this story, this author will not let you down. You will need to see how this story ends!

This short story is both heart breaking and reviving at the same time. Cori Vidae has a way with words where she can bring you into her world in under 20 pages. Of Water is part of Erotica Under Glass, which are very short stories written to tease the reader. At least this reader she did. I would love to read a longer story by Vidae because, wow, if she can bring out these types of feelings in a short story I can’t imagine how a full length novel would be! I am definitely recommending Of Water.

Of Water is a novella in the Erotica Under Glass: She’s on the Bottom series by Cori Vidae. It is a very quick, easy and tantalizing tale full of life, love, sadness, regret, mysteriousness, wonder and a little hope. I was swept up into this story and wasn’t ready for it to finish so soon. The story introduces us to Mara who has had a devastating situation occur. She is grasping for a tether of some kind that she can hang onto as her world spins out of control. She seeks the comfort and calm that the ocean usually provides her. Mara wades out into the water and into an experience that will change her perspective entirely and leave her with a new appreciation.
A great tale that I would love to see expanded into a full length novel.

Thank you Ms. Vidae!

This is my second story by this author, and she has such a way with words and can take just a few pages and tell a whole story. Although I ended craving more, it was still enough.

We meet Mara on the beach, depression has taken a hold of her. She has loved and lost and doesn't know how to go on. She strips away her mourning clothes and wades out into the ocean. As she watches the lights from her house fading, she realizes she has gone too far and does all she can to get back to shore. She's so tired and it seems the ocean is pulling her out further with every effort she makes to save herself. Then appears a man who gets her to a small piece of land, she knows this is not just a man but much more.

This is a short story about fighting your back from depression and loss. Rediscovering the will to live and having the strength to move on.

This author's writing style has me needing a full length novel, I will be checking out all of her other work. She is amazing!

Cori Vidae has a way with words and has written a compelling story with Of Water. This book is almost poetic. The story is a bit on the darker side dealing with depression but done in a beautiful way. This is a very very short novella that was very well written and left a punch. It was sad yet mysterious with hopelessness yet hope. Mara is at a crossroad in life. Her world is no longer what she needs. Everything she loves has gone. If I just step into the water everything will be better. However as she is saved by a mystery man she decides she wants to live.
