When I finished this book, I was so angry. I felt like the only purpose of the book was to emotionally manipulate me. It's a middle grade book filled with a lot of death and sadness. But with some time away from the book, I can appreciate that it is trying to be a meditation on death and reincarnation told through a middle grade lens. That being said, I would only recommend this book if you are looked to cry.
