Excellent but truly out there

This is a great capstone to the Hyperion Cantos. It does a great job tying up questions left unanswered through three books, while simultaneously being one of the most daring, imaginative things I've ever read.

A stellar finish to the second two book series. As much as Raul was annoying, I think seeing her as the main character through him changes that viewpoint. Following a savior who knows that fact from birth is boring, this is more nuanced, you never really know all she knows, unique way to do this type of savior sci-fi. Writing wasn't as tight or engaging as Hyperion and it did drag, but I was still drawn by the characters more than I tend to these days.
