Wow! I've been somewhat familiar with this story for a long time now, especially after having a Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel phase there for a while. I have no clue why it took me so long to read this, but I am glad I finally did. Now I feel invested, and I'm going to have to search out the entire reading order of everything before and after this story. Totally enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.
Me ha gustado mucho. Es un comic que no necesita lectura de los anteriores para ser entendido. Es una maravilla
Confusing dialogue bubbles. Confusing action panels. Who's fighting? What's going on? This knocks it a couple of stars for me. Maybe this title suffers from character bloat?
However, there is an interesting premise here regarding superheroes asking the ultimate question when policing one of their own. The result? The idea was left on the shelf, and it was replaced with a new one:
Instead of getting rid of one, let's twist it and get rid of almost all.
Was the ending shocking? Meh, I really don't follow the mutant mythos in Marvel's comics. I think there are WAY TOO MANY. Of course, I guess I'd be on the side for this solution. Ha! (But it's comics...no one is ever really gone.)
The TV show, WandaVision, gets a little bit of its premise from this, but not too much. However, I think it does set the stage for the MCU Phase 4 action.

House of M was my first major Marvel cross over event. I'd been reading comics for a while but had stuck mostly to Spider-Man and some X-Men stories. With WandaVision and Doctor Strange recently I thought I'd revisit the story. I have them in singles, boxed up but also have the trade collection.
It's surprisingly cohesive and tight, compared to various events over the years, the story not reliant on having read all the peripheral stories, nor fragmented from them. I've got the Spider-Man tie in too but it doesn't need to be read.
If anything, I felt the story could be longer, more fleshed out. Using Pete as the 'everyday' man worked well and his genuine distress at his new life and memories being ripped from him felt honest. Luke Cage is the only other character who has a little insight into how their life changes (and arguably had more to lose). Still, it has a cracker of an ending, one which impacted the Marvel universe for many years after. The art is definitely of the era, clean and aiming for realism.
Better than I was expecting and a pivotal moment in semi-recent marvel history

House of M was interesting and I can see that the repercussions would have revitalized the Marvel universe when it was first published. These Marvel crossover events are interesting to say the least.
AHHHH. IT WAS SO GOOD. IM SO GLAD THAT I FINALL GOT TO READ IT!! I’ve been wanting to read this for so long. Since Wandavision. And when my local comic bookshop had it…that made me so incredibly happy.
I was surprised that Wanda never truly went crazy in this series. It wasn’t something that I expected. She knew what she wanted. All along.
But erasing mutants? I didn’t realize it happened in this one. “No more mutants.” That line….mmm. Love it.

More like 3.5 stars. This was a cool idea, kind of a "what if", but I was thrown by the ending, not sure what to think now. So I guess I'll need to read some "House of M" spin-offs to see if that helps. I love comics with tons of heroes and this definitely fit the bill. Unfortunately the fight scenes were really short and not very exciting.
