Pleasantly surprised. Slow start, builds well. Wanted to read where "No more mutants" began.
A lot of my favorite characters in one place? Hell yeah! I absolutely enjoyed this.
I really enjoyed this story - much more than I usually enjoy Bendis stories - but yikes the art was insanely booby.
3.5
Fun event with big consequences, enjoyed the story and dialogue. Bendis is quite wordy but I've enjoyed what I've read from him so far. Didn't love the art but didn't hate either it was the page layout I really didn't like, didn't flow and wasn't clear another just felt dynamic Dynamics sake

Bendis does it again
What a great artistic team this is, the story is good and even though the outcome is certain and the typical "new" mutant helps save the day it is still a fun read. The art is fantastic.

every time layla "woke up" each of the avengers it reminded me of that snl skit with andy samberg (dear sister) where every time they shot each other the song "mmm whatcha say" played

I was surprised by how strong this comic was - I went into it thinking "okay, steampunk X-Men" and came out really emotionally moved. Loved the characterisation of Emma Frost as something beyond sexy enigma.
