Normalmente no es el tipo de libro que leo, porque pasa muchas veces que el autor habla de lo que hace o ha hecho bien para llegar hasta donde está, y cuesta mucho redactar eso sin sonar pretencioso. Goggins logra mezclar esa narrativa de su esfuerzo con una sana dosis de auto conocimiento y mea culpa. Apenas uno comienza a sentir que te está sermoneando o vanagloriándose de sus éxitos te suelta una realidad fuerte con errores o cosas que hizo mal, sin maquillaje, sin excusas, lo cual lo convierte en un autor más cercano al lector.

I listened to this one on Audible after my friend challenged me to read it and do the 10 challenges at the end of each chapter, and it was a fun listen. One of the main reasons it was fun was because of how wacky and bizarre David Goggins is. Not in the traditional way you would think of someone bizarre, but in a totally different way.

There were so many things that were left out of his life story while he was trumpeting his physical achievements (2 divorces, a child that got a 10 second mention, wtf???) that it makes the book almost a gonzo read.
