Es fängt okay an (Weltuntergang, Zombies), aber danach passieren wieder mal nur viele zufällige Dinge in zufälliger Reihenfolge an zufälligen Orten. Immerhin taucht ein Hund auf, der dann auch wirklich den Rest der Handlung weitgehend mitmacht und sogar gelegentlich Wasser, Futter und Schlafplätze bekommt.

interesting premise and much darker than I thought it would be. Sophie was a great fmc in my mind and her struggle w religious trauma and suppression and her inner thoughts on sin and desire and want were so interesting to read

This book explores so much. Spirituality, sexuality, repression, love, loss and...sex-crazed zombies? I loved it.

DID NOT FINISH: 8%

Perhaps extreme horror is not for me…. Or at least this one wasn’t. I’d like to think gratuitous violence would be fine with me if it had a point, however this was just disgusting for the sake of being disgusting. Far too much sexual violence for meeee!
