This book was so good, but was way too busy to fully grasp all the narratives Leede packed into it. A pandemic, religious guilt and trauma, teenage angst, death, queerness, identity, and so many more things were touched on in this book. For a standalone, it was just too much. I also felt like the midwestern tie-ins were almost throwaways
