Really enjoyed the message. Part 3 didn't really seem to fit, and if it hadn't been included, I'd probably have given it 5 stars.

Oh I really wanted to like this, to be inspired by it, to find the amazingness of Swift's tale. But I didn't. Ho hum is what I have to say. I feel bad about that. At least David Hyde Pierce's narration was outstanding.

I didn’t see the horse people coming
I enjoyed this book as a child for its fantastical elements. Rediscovering it as an adult, I realise what a brilliant piece of satire it is. The main character describing politics of the era to a giant, and having it related back to him as if human beings were ants building colonies in the mud, had both hilarious and insightful elements. Sadly my edition only contains the first two countries visited, apparently because they’re the least political and the most child friendly, so I’ll be tracking down the full version.

ZERO STARS
Good ideas, TERRIBLE executions and (expected) male dominance. I really disliked this book. I hope no one has the misfortune of feeling the way I did about this book. (actually I do because HOW ARE PEOPLE GIVING THIS A THREE AND FOUR STAR REVIEW? I don't get it.)
