I can't believe I've had a Yahoo email address all these years. How embarrassing.

Quote:
“Undoubtedly, philosophers are in the right when they tell us that nothing is great or little otherwise than by comparison.”
Setting:
The story follows the titular character as he gets lost at sea and discovers several lands filled with camp. None of the lands he discovers are particular interesting and the setting as a whole is a bit of a waste.
Plot:
Gulliver who gets lost at sea finds himself in a land with people small enough to fit in his pocket. When he finally gets free he returns home only long enough to see his family before he ends up on yet another island this time filled with giants. The cycle repeats.
Writing:
The writing is very dated and at times hard to read as the language used is also dated. In the end I found it readable but easy reading.
Characters:
There is only one character who continues through the whole of the story and that is Gulliver who by the end of the book I personally came to hate. He is a bit of an idiot who seems to enjoy misfortune.
Pros:
Starts off strong
Very different
Cons:
Repetitive
Unbelievable character
Recommendation:
This is one of the easiest do not recommends I have ever written. The story starts strong but falls off a cliff by the start of the second travel. My suspension of disbelief was completely shatters when I called that the next land would have giants after the first land had very short people.
