This finale was absolutely fantastic. I adore Ciccarelli's writing so much and this sequel did not disappoint!
I love the characters and how everything played out to culminate in the finale. The banter and the PINING were peak, and the confusion and mistrust just added to it all - these people are truly all enemies and they have to learn to trust each other, despite all of the betrayals. And there are more betrayals of various varities, all the better for the story!
I think what pulled me in is that there is almost this dystopian element to the story - these people are all struggling with the world they live in, wanting a better one, and it's figuring out how to trust each other after all of the lies, violence, betrayals to get there.

I will say that the ending was a little rushed. I loved how it all wrapped up, but I thought that part would be drawn out just a bit more.

Thank you to PRH Audio for the ALC.

What it's about:
This book picks up shortly after Heartless Hunter ends. The characters have to make difficult decisions for the good of others.
They also have to put differences aside and remember who the real enemy is.

What I thought:
I loved this conclusion to this duology. The back and forth between Rune and Gideon stressed me out, but I loved how things turned out for them.

> I loved the tension!
> I loved all the characters working together
> I enjoyed how this book wrapped up

🎧 Audiobook Thoughts: I enjoyed this narrator but would’ve preferred two narrators.

⚠️ swearing, blood, violence, and other things related to fighting.

Loved it! Fast-paced, delicious & silly. Top-notch angst. Mildly plot-holey here & there, but very enjoyable. Collection of *ALL* the fan-favorite minitropes with a pinch of darkness and a dash of social commentary.

All was good if not for the word “radar” that completely threw me off :)

Brilliant narration by Grace Gray. Dual POV.
