I loved this book! Jodi is one of my all time favourite authors and she didn’t disappoint with this one. My favourite aspect was the fact that it was from Ty’s point of view and we got to see how he deals with falling for someone he shouldn’t - we normally only see this from the female perspective! He’s hilarious and charming. My only wish is for a epilogue - I need to see what happens!
challenging emotional slow-paced

If you like:
+ alpha hero
+ office romance
+ forbidden romance
+ steam off the charts
This is the book for you, especially if it's a man who  finds a woman who makes us life chaos when his best friend hires her without his permission. It was a bit of a ride. There were a few moments that I was grabbed into the romance and also sometimes felt like Lainey wasn't in it all the way and a few times I didn't connect with them. A big thing for me is the end wrapped up a bit too nicely when Lainey finally reveals her past
about her having a miscarriage with her ex
and this didn't happen until the 99% mark and was a bit jarring and I was caught off guard.

Listen, I was here for this book for like 95% of it. I was cheesing hard, this could, quite literally be the cutest love story I have ever read. I was smitten, I shed a few tears, this sounds like the best way to be treated by a man like wow. But the ending, so abrupt, so left field. I guess that’s the nature of all JEM novels but most of them have more of a drawn out conclusion. Would have really loved an additional chapter or two with a cute epilogue about their future. Anyways, I’ll read it again, if just to smile at what I hope would go through someone’s mind about me someday. Can’t wait to get Artful Lies in the mail, I’m still a devoted fan.
