This presents as a pretty straightforward love triangle but I do think both women are more complex than they appear. The novel does drag a bit in the middle but the ending is gut-wrenching and very memorable.

This is one I suffered through, and if I did not have to finish it for school, I would have put it down after page one. You have to get through millions of details about the random townspeople wayyy too frequently to even get to the story!
