Second not to Felix’ story, I love the cat burglar angle. King is an art thief who’s realizing he doesn’t want to continue, but his partner double crosses him and leaves him to be caught. He gets out of it, then spends the next two years fighting all his wrongs and deytung revenge on his ex.
Then, when he’s about done, Falcon and his FBI team ask him to help recover Amati al Hungarian treasure, a crown. Falcon will give him immunity for his other crimes, and again, Lobg’s exhafwanted that crown for himself.
Falcon and King start a fling, the trait wavering on both sides, but they get things done with Falcon’s team helping out.
Love the plot, the twists, and the building romance in this story.

Really enjoyed this. Loved the heist element which was well done with nice curveballs and not too predictable. Also the author clearly did lots of research for this book which is great.
I do object to an MC being called Dirk. Just no, this is not a good name, almost had me dnf at the start, I'll be honest.

Though it’s the seventh book in a series, this is the first book I’ve read by Lucy Lennox. I’ll definitely be going back for more. I really enjoyed this romance between unlikely lovers Kingston Wilde and Dirk Falcon. Kingston is an incredibly skilled art thief known as Le Chaton. Dirk is an FBI agent in charge of a special international task force who has been working to bring down Le Chaton for years. But when an artifact of major historical significance is stolen, Agent Falcon and the FBI recruit King to help get it back.
I enjoy a good heist plot as well as a love story between a criminal and an officer of the law, and I thought this one was really well written. I enjoyed the chemistry between King and Falcon as well as the characters’ backstories. I also liked the surrounding cast of characters in this book. The story was well-written, had good pacing, and kept me entertained from start to finish.

I love heist movies and well this heist novel is just as great. Of course you knew there was going to be all sorts of "we shouldn't" when you throw a thief and the FBI agent tracking him together. But of course we already knew we'd love the thief. Kingston's a Wilde. We love the Wilde's so, of course, from the start we're on King's side. I really enjoyed the introduction to King and his thievery. And his first meeting with Falcom was fun.
Of course the main part of the story starts off with King having to fear what Falcon really wants. And we have to spend a lot of time figuring out whether they can truly trust each other. But I liked them figuring out each other and how their relationship would really work. Of course when you're looking to re-steal the Hungarian Crown. Well things are going to get interesting when King's ex is clearly the one involved. Revenge can be sweet if it's handled correctly. There's a good cast of side characters in this one that aren't the main part of the family. Though I did really enjoy King's and MJ's relationship.
I'm really enjoying this series as a whole and can't wait for the next book.

The first book I finished in 2021 is my favorite of the 10 books I've read this year. When I first saw that this series had 8 books in it, I laughed. I've read enough gay romance in the past year to know there are only a few iterations of the story. Well, I was wrong. All eight of these books are wilde-ly (see what I did there?) different and this one is THE BEST. It's like reading The Thomas Crowne Affair with gay guys. It's reading a Mission Impossible movie with a really compelling love story at its center. This book is AWESOME - well written, art heist goodness with two characters in King and Falcon whose attraction and eventual love feel earned.
I of course read book eight in this series immediately after this one, but I've purposefully shifted gears before I start up another of Lennox's series because I feel like I might be spoiled by her if I don't give myself a wee break.

This was such a fun book. It really kept me on the edge of my seat. Reading about the art heist was fun and hard to put the book down. I never really thought a book about art heists sounded interesting, but it actually really was. My favorite in the series by far (Felix & the Prince being second fave) although the final book does sound promising too. I also love books where law enforcement has to team up with a criminal to complete a mission, just adds a fun layer to the story.

I love me some King! I have a special place in my heart for cat burglars and hackers. LOVE!!!
Honestly? I love this book because it's set in Europe and I can relate to the places. And of course I love the story. King is such a great character and falcon has the biggest heart. A great read. ❤️❤️❤️
