King for the win!

Wow, talk about twists and turns around every corner. This book had that ten fold!

Truly a fantastic book that I couldn’t recommend more if I tried.

All of the Wilde family stories have been crazy, but King Me is one of the craziest (in a good way)! There’s enemies to lovers goodness but also insane art heist hijinks.

Kingston (King) Wilde is a notorious art thief (Le Chaton) and a skilled forger who hasn’t been caught yet but he’s going straight, starting immediately. He’s been burned by his ex-partner and is looking to change his life and figure out what’s next when he’s not planning heists. He never intended to be an art thief but got taken advantage of when he was young and set himself on a path he couldn’t escape. Similar to all of his siblings, his family is his life and he’ll do anything to protect them from his crazy and criminal lifestyle.

Dirk Falcon is an FBI agent who specializes in art crimes and has been on King’s trail for years, having caught him once but let him go, leading to his demotion. He’s the team leader but he’s been on his own in his personal life for years. He has a strong, commanding presence but trusts the people around him to do what needs to be done to get the job done. Falcon is dedicated to his job and loves being involved with the art world but he’s also ready to settle down with someone, picket fence and all.

The back and forth between these two was incredible. They have so much history even though they’ve only met each other once and it was so obvious that they got under each other’s skin in a way they never expected when they started working together. These two worked really well together but they were keeping their own secrets from each other while also falling for each other the more time they spent in close proximity. Their heist planning shenanigans were fun to read but I wanted more romance between them - their love story got a little overshadowed by their work at times.

Like all the Forever Wilde stories, I’m excited to read what comes next but I’m also not quite ready to let the Wildes go just yet!

King Me is the seventh book in the forever Wilde series by the talented and fantastic Lucy Lennox. I love every word Lucy writes and I pretty much stalk her all over social media. She's talented, personable and so darn funny! And her characters are some of my all time favorites. We know and love the Wilde's and this is King's story. Last we saw of King he was evading an FBI agent. An older, sexy, brooding man. We learn that King hasn't always been on the right side of the law. And the FBI needs his help. Agent Falcon has been chasing King for years. He's also been lusting after the younger man. Now they have to work together. This isn't going to be good. Or is it? King has a thing for older men. Something about their dominance and alpha tendencies calls to him and Dirk Falcon checks all his boxes. He can't help but flirt and tease the cranky agent and it appears that Falcon loves it. There's a palpable attraction between King and Falcon and once they act on it physically, the game changes. Can they even trust each other? What happens when this job is over? Oh man, did I love this story! It’s one of my favorites of the series. There was just something about King and Falcon that got to me. I loved the age difference and the flirty side of King and the protective side of Falcon. And, I loved that they communicated like adults! King with his sexy hair and cute butt and Dirk with his salt and pepper hair and manliness just pushed all my buttons! I can't wait for more from the this amazing family!

"Are you ever not flirting? I swear you could seduce a gravy boat."
"Have you ever seen the curves on one of those things? And they live to serve. They'll give you what you want. All you have to do is bend them over."

"So responsive, so submissive… You have no idea how badly I wan you. Your anger makes your cheeks pink."

"Tell me about your agent. Is he hot?" MJ asked.
"So hot. Sooo hot. Like surface of the sun hot. And he's… a good kisser. And… a good lots of other things."

"Got you're good-looking."
"I'm cold as balls."
"Yeah, and it's making your nipples hard. I’m bearing witness."

Stevie wears the pants in the family.
"Isn't Stevie with the fire chief?"
"Yes, He wears the pans with the chief too. Stevie has lots of pants."

Not very kinky, more hijinky.

Okay, the premise for this is a little ridiculous but I suppose internationally renowned art thieves can have average families too (though the Wilde family is anything but average lol).

This was a fun read with some great side characters.
