I liked this one slightly better than the first one, if only cause Jessie wasn't so damn perky all the time. Still...an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours.

I've got to say I loved Mason as soon as he appeared in first book. He's total opposite to chase. Very flirty and laid back but very secretive. You love or hate mason. He's a larger than life smooth character. Really liked how u get to see a totally different side to him with some really great twist in book.
From start Mason liked Jessie, so much so he camped out in her office. From word go there was serious attraction but Jessie constantly denied it most of this book. We also got more of Miranda and Chase which is hilarious. Absolutely loved this book. Looking forward to Viktor's HEA even though he isn't.

"And when I do finally cross that barrier from crossbred rodent to dangerous predator, I’ll show them all. Muah-ah-ah-choo. Damned allergies."

This series is legitimately silly and smexy. Probably too sexy for the old-fashioned-minded. If you read this all in good fun, though-well, it's good fun!

A silly little villain that we still don't know the species of, another secret-government office romance which translates to lots and lots of sex. If this doesn't sound like something you'd be entertained by, don't read it.

I quite liked this. I did notice an overuse of the word playbear though. I hope Viktor gets own story.

Decent. This series is only just gaining momentum, though.

3.5 stars.

It was a super quick read and while I loved Mason I really didn't like Jessie. I got frustrated that she was stuck on the man whore when she'd never actually seen him with a woman, and as for the plot I wasn't quite as interested in this book as I have been in others by EL that I've read. Very excited for the next book though!

Mason oh Mason we met him as Chases brother in the first book.
He sure is a personality.
My favorite Mason quote I imagine he is pouting when he says this "Because your so meant to me." lol
Jessie is so feisty and you learn why she had to be. It's her protection again what she perceives as a threat.
Her father isn't going to be winning any father of the year awards that's for sure although his plan totally back fires which I love.

Again we don't know how the master mind is only that he is fishy and seems to slip through everyone's fingers but I have a feeling that won't last to much longer.

Also Chase and Mason's mother awesome!

This is the second book in the Furry United Coalition series and a full blast. Jessie is a feisty, curvy girl, who doesn__t think that a sexy and scrumptious bear can be hers. But that doesn__t stop either of them, even though the issues are there.

Eve Langlais has a vivid writing style and is capable of creating fascinating stories with interesting characters and new story twists __ I mean, who else would throw a swan or bunny at a bear to mate?
The story is captivating, fast and has a lot of action. The ending was satisfying, but at the same time promised another story in this series. YAY!

I do have to say that I liked the __Bunny and the Bear__ book a little better, as it was a new concept for me and seemed captivating. The Bunny hopping around kept me laughing so hard and the grumpy bear was just too sweet to be true. __Swan and the Bear__ was great for its new characters, but showed a lot of too similar story threads, which personally annoyed me a little. As I mentioned, the characters were great. I loved Jessie and her Princess secret as well as how Mason kept needling her out of her shell, where she kept hiding.

I failed to mention last time that the "Mastermind" tells bits and pieces of the story in this series. While it's a little far out that a school grudge is the reason for his warped ways, it is a lesson in hell hath no furry like a psycho bullied.

Now I said that the first book in the series was wacky fun. But wacky fun becomes just plain old news after the material has already been used. No really. The Swan and the Bear borrows heavily from it's predecessor. It even uses the same Monty Python joke! WTF! After that I just wasn't into the humor anymore. Sure there were a few one liners that made me chuckle. The meet the parents bit for the new couple and the old couple was great! So hats off to that.

What's even more disturbing is that I felt like I was reading the same characters again. The swan, Jessie, was the grumpy bear. (Pun intended.) Mason is the happy to mate like a bunny lead. So basically I'm reading the same characters from the last book, but the genders are switched. Sure Jessie is holding off because she just knows her play bear is going to drop her once he's tasted the honey. There wasn't enough background or character depth for me to believe that Jessie was so damaged about relationships that she would be that stupid. (Sure her father is overbearing on a mind blowing scale and abuses the trust of family, but it's just not enough.) Mason proves himself over and over, there's no proof that he's just a cheating evil man. Only that he's a big play bear and likes to sleep with the ladies.

In the end it probably was not wise to read Furry United Coalition back to back. I wanted to enjoy the character cameos while I could remember them. Maybe I wouldn't notice just how much this borrowed from the book before with space in between. Again no emotional connection, which rendered the sex scenes flavorless. Then the half attempted plot. What can I say, I'm picky. Erotica should have substance. Yeah, I know. That's just the way I am.

Sexual Content: Erotica, sex scenes ahead.

1/5- I couldn't finish it or wish I hadn't
