I listened to the audible adaption of the novel. Performance of actors was excellent, and sound-desing was top notch. However, this did not hide the shallow story and non-interesting characters. Both of these stars are only for audio adaptions.

The Alien franchise is one of my favorite sci-fi franchises. It’s one of the few horror movies I love watching and I love being scared to death every single time. I love reading spin off books from movie franchises evacuase I love going back to those worlds. However I’ll admit usually they aren’t that great. I loved this one! It felt very much like watching one of the Alien movies.

Solid fan fiction.

Middling read for those new to the Aliens franchise. Solid addition for those who aren't. Entertaining and light but dull through the middle at times.

Such a good listen. It makes me want to rewatch all the movies and relisten to this one in order. I think I'll get the next ones with my extra credits. I do wish Hooper had chosen differently in the end. I think he underestimated Ash and his dedication to the mission...also, Ripley's voice was chosen so well!!

i bought this audiobook right when it came out and thought it would be really interesting since it's about aliens and based from the movies. i finally started it and although i enjoyed it, it wasn't my favorite. i love that it's basically just a movie with no picture. there's multiple narrators, sound effects, and a great story behind it. i loved the suspense behind it, and loved that the person who narrates ripely, i thought she did a great job, as did the other narrators.

+ would i recommend?
yes, i would recommend to people who love science fiction and aliens, but there's a lot of language in this audio, so i should probably say if you don't like that or are too young, maybe not.

+ actual rating?
4/5
