Truly Madly Guilty

Liane Moriarty

3.45 AVERAGE

I think I spent the first part of this book feeling like someone watching the build up to a terrible car crash in slow motion. You can see this terrible inevitability of what is about to happen, but then suddenly someone swerved out of the way and cars start spinning off in different directions. I adored this book, but I feel like I am saying that about many of Lianes books. This is the 4th that I have read and is vying for top spot in the rankings.

I like Moriarty’s writing style, but this book was just so unnecessarily long. There is so much that could have been cut out to make it a much better read. But I do like the way her characters feel real.

My least favorite of the books I have read by Liane Moriarty. Half the book sets you up for some big event and it merely "poofs" into nothing. Just a boring book. You could easily skip this one.

This was fine- it just took me a bit to get invested. I didn’t find it overwhelming good or bad.

Really it's 3.5 stars. Was slow to get into it, but the story picked up. Not my favorite by Liane Moriarty but still pretty good.
