I have never read any Liane Moriarty before, but I think I will be reading more. Still vaguely shook over this one, but mostly in a good way? I think? Some of the twists were just so unhinged. Maybe I'm just overemotional at the moment, but one of them had me in tears.
I think my favorite part of the book was how it treated the idea of guilt. It made me question who was actually guilty? Was anyone? Was everyone? When does someone actually deserve to feel guilty?
Overall it was good stylistically. There was one sideplot that just seemed a little messy and forced. It tied in to some things later in the book, but honestly felt a bit like the author was trying to do too much. Perhaps that was the point though. Sometimes life expects us to do too much, and it's only a matter of time before someone cracks.

I. Hated. This. Book. Maybe it was the narrator of the audio book but by the time I learned the mystery, I was too far in to give up.
was good! definitely not what i expected, a lot of twists i didn't necessarily see coming
I will never read ANY books by this Author again !
You try to engage reader with a mysterious plot revolving around something that happened at a Barbecue. Then you cannot decide, whether you want this book to be a Mystery fiction or want to teach readers some lessons on parenting or psychology.
There has been no other book as painful to read as this one.
Read at your own risk.
Definitely a WORST read !!!
