A perfect modern royals + boy next door Hallmark style holiday romance with some delicious steam! This was a read in one sitting kind of book featuring Leo and his kid sister Gabby who meet Princess Marie of Eldovia when she visits NYC.

The sparks between Leo and Marie are intense and irresistable and she invites both to join her at her castle for the holidays. Full of heart, humor and some sexy open door scenes, this one is the perfect book to keep you warm over the holidays. Great on audio and highly recommended, the sequel: Duke, Actually is also excellent!

This book was an honest-to-goodness delight. It had me grinning the whole way through. Read this if you like A+ banter and heartwarming characters.

It's good for fans of the good Hallmark movies who also like some steam. This one is open door.

I highly recommend it if you are looking for a Christmas romance.

Content/trigger warning: Grief

This book features dual POV.

Honestly, it was kinda boring. The story is cute and the MCs have a quirky chemistry. I just didn’t “get into” it. I read Duke, Actually last year, book 2 in this series, and prefer it.

Sweet holiday romance!

Really enjoyed this story of the princess and the man from NYC. Definitely put me in the holiday mood. Loved the younger sister Gabby & the best friends Dani & Max (I KNEW there would be a spark, especially when he used the phrase “Duke, Actually”!) Leo and Marie are a perfect match who bring out the best in each other. Her father, King Emil, needed the “kick in the pants” that he got. His relationship with Gabby is a hoot, that little girl being able to put him in his place. Looking forward to reading the sequel!

I have a soft spot for stories set during Christmas. I also have a soft spot for slightly-unrealistic romances, the ones you know will end happily no matter what. This book seemed like a no-brainer and I was absolutely right.

It's like a delicious mug of hot cocoa! (I thought I'd keep with the theme.) It's warm and sweet, but not something you want all the time. It was exactly what I was craving, between the grittiness of NYC and the winter wonderland of Eldovia. The relationships between all the characters were very realistic. It was like getting a peek behind the curtain of a fairytale...and seeing the steamier aspects of fairytale life.

I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a relaxing escape from reality!

This is cute, and I loved that it included mentions of Europe's refugee crisis. It IS very Hallmarkesque. If you ever wondered what would happen if a Hallmark Christmas movie and a Jenny Holiday book birthed a baby. This is definitely that baby. It's Hallmark genes took away from the deeper character development that I've come to expect from Holiday. (An attempt was made that is MUCH better than any Hallmark movie.) As a fluffy Christmas read, it did its job. I will definitely read the next one though that is going to require an even more serious attempt at the character development given Max is....Max.

Oh man, I loved this fairytale! It's the perfect book to curl up with in front of the fire and just enjoy the story and the characters.

What are the odds a real life princess will jump into your cab in New York? Not high but Leo was lucky :) Marie landed in his cab and turned out to be exactly what Leo needed.

The characters are sweet and I loved the references that were made to Hallmark movies!

A great Christmas read!

Thank you to the publisher and Edelweiss for the oppurtunity to review this book!
