So basically every Marvel comic out there is getting pulled into War of the Realms. It makes sense – it is a massive event, after all. And now it’s Captain Marvel’s turn. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to be following that event in order to have an idea of what is happening here. Though you may get some spoilers, so consider yourself warned.
This was an awesome and hilarious issue. First, it brings Captain Marvel, Black Widow, and Doctor Strange all to one place. Which is awesome enough on its own. But then it goes even farther with that.
The plot for this issue was a strange balance of intense (thanks to the war and all) and hilarious. I don’t want to say more than that, because this is one of those moments that you really don’t want spoiled. But I will say that it’s totally worth checking out.
Bonus points: I love that they showed Carol as being exhausted. She’s been popping up all over the place for War of the Realms, and this was a subtle was of acknowledging that all of those events for her are happening around the same time. And it probably doesn’t need to be explained why that would be so exhausting for her.
