I read this book in one sitting, so there's that, but I wanted more from it. I don't know what--maybe more of an allegorical spin? The MC became a little cloying, and she felt a little flat, then suddenly had a change of heart at the end.
I love anything having to do with urban decay, and this took it to the next level. This book was weird, and I'm not sure I totally understood it, but I was here for it. If you're looking for a unique body horror experience, I would definitely recommend this!

I kind of went into this book expecting it to be a horror book from the synopsis, and while it dances with the grotesque and macabre I would say that this is anything but horror. Its a melancholic modern fairytale with an understated message about socioeconomics and the dangers of misogyny.

What a perfect introduction to the body horror sub genre! This story was both heartbreaking and powerful. Definitely a must read for anyone looking for something creepy and something with a strong female base.
