This book had all the markers to be a great one. However it took so long to get into, as we had no real backstory - I learnt why later. But I needed something to entice me to keep reading.
It ended up going in a completely different direction than what I wanted it to. Not the worst book I’ve ever read, but definitely not the best.

I tried starting this book 3 times before I could get into the plot. Once I was patient enough to stick with it for more than a few chapters, it picked up steam and was a really lovely story.

Great first part, but I simply didn't buy the love story between the two main characters.

The best book I have read in a long time. Collins writes with poetic beauty that’s hard to come by. Absolutely loved it.

Interesting premise but fails to deliver

An interesting premise and alternate world but ultimately this is used to deliver a ho-hum story of star-crossed love. Disappointing.

The change of pace in the second, flash-back part; followed by the change in narrator for the third made the book feel even more disjointed.
