"Am I more than you bargained for yet" -Fall Out Boy

In an attempt to play around with the memory wiping aspect to create a mystery, it just becomes confusing. The first half of the book is slow, relaxed, and curious enough to keep you reading. The second half was very fast and genuinely upsetting almost the entire time. I wish a lot of aspects had been done differently. Also a very cliffhanger ending for a book that doesn't have a sequel.

I don’t know what I expected but it wasn’t this. (In the best way possible)
One star less because the first part is incredibly slow, almost excruciatingly so but the next two are so much faster and it’s followed by an abrupt end. That kinda killed the mood for me.
Heart wrenchingly beautiful. I wished there had been one more chapter at least.

2nd read; audiobook:

The audiobook narration is very well done and extremely immersive. 
I forgot how much I hate the sister. She’s extremely manipulative and self-centered.

I enjoyed the magical element of this but it was darker and more intense than I thought it would be. 

Reading the triggers beforehand is so important for this book. 

I loved seeing both perspectives and watching them discover who they are. 

Towards the final chapters I felt as though something was missing but still can't put my finger on it. 

It felt almost incomplete in a way.

I still have a lot of questions which will go unanswered unless there is a sequel (?).
