Ik kan echt weinig loslaten over dit boek, omdat je dan teveel spoilers weggeeft. Maar ik vond het echt een heel leuk en vermakelijk boek met een enorme plottwist! Dat einde had ik niet verwacht.

It was well written, and I loved how detailed the memory was that it wasn’t just 1 chapter, so that we really understood why his parents and sister didn’t want him around and what it was that he really lost.

The way it changes perspective in Pt. 3 and the author doesn’t tell was a little annoying, and I was confused for about 2-3 pages.

Would make a great movie, wish it was a series.

This book is so full of pure magic and gorgeous prose that I couldn't put it down. It enchanted me from the very first page on, and I'll remember it for a long long time.
And the love story is one of the purest, most beautiful and humble and touching love stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I adore both Emmett and Lucian and loved the way their story was structured, with beautiful world building, an exciting, deeply emotional plot that ended on a high note and
Spoilera surprising change of pov that added to my understanding of and feelings for them
.

There is, simply said, nothing I do not utterly love about this book.

I found the concept interesting. However I felt the storyline was slow and took a different path towards the middle especially with the themes such as the violence and suicide. Towards the end the change in themes caused me to lose interest and I never finished the book.
