I would reread this in a skinny minute.
Things I most appreciated: the Southern feel. The beautiful, soft, and strong characters, including how the way they narrate lets the reader exquisitely into their personality in a raw, wonderful sense. I liked the insights the author and her characters provide into 1960s Mississippi and how the circumstances there could be extrapolated to other Deep South states. These words can't express how good this book is. Five stars through and through.

One of my favorite books. It was very intriguing and heartfelt. It was hard to put it down, and although I did enjoy it very much, I was slightly disappointed with the way it ended.
