Standard early Moore fare. Strangely gripping story, difficult to put the book down, a handful of laughs and good wit abounds.

Probably my second favorite Moore book. Features a giant, lust-inducing sea creature named Steve. If you're not intrigued yet, we need to not be friends.

Funny stuff, as always from C.Moore.

Christopher Moore always makes me laugh.

Attempts at humor in this book ranged from eye-rollingly sophomoric to old-black-blues-man racist caricature. I was expecting this book to be equal parts silly and absurd. I've heard good things about Moore generally as a writer, so I'll probably give one of his better known books a chance eventually, but this one was flat out terrible.

Packed full of humour and returning characters from the first book in the series. It's a fun book, if it is lacking one thing it is a high level of suspense. But it's not a mystery or a thriller, so that's fine.
