This is the first or second Christopher Moore book I ever read, and it's still good on this reread.
Pine Cove is a usually quiet unassuming little backwater town and that's how most of the residents like it. It has more average numbers of weirdos and kooky characters, and every once in awhile something truly strange and wacky happens.

This time it's a horny ancient sea beast looking for love in all the wrong places. Also dinner.

One stressed out shrink, a former B post apoc movie star, a pothead Constable, a biologist, a blues musician on the run, and a heaping helping of government corruption all go into making this one of the most wild and hilarious plots you have ever encountered. Don't pass on reading this one!

Maybe the fastest I've ever read a book, maybe the funniest too. So excited to read more by this author

Seth bought me this book in a used bookstore on Indian School I've always meant to visit. It's a signed copy. This is an amusing little number was a welcome change from the Vegetarian. It's laugh-out-loud funny, clever, soothing. A psychiatrist loses confidence in herself after a patient of hers commits suicide. In response, she replaces the entire town's supply of SSRIs with placebos. In the meantime, a very horny dragon rises from the sea and falls in love with a down-and-out movie star that lives in the trailer park. He eats a lot of people. Four stars.

This book was interesting, if I'm going to say the least descriptive thing I can possibly think of.

I have been savoring Christopher Moore books since 2006... this was the last one I had not yet read. The end of an era 😭 (when’s the next new one?!)

The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove is learning to cook without recipes.
