This was so funny. I will have to get another of his books I'm sure it will be more of the same. It was a great read.
As others have mentioned, this is a silly book. Every now and then, one should read a silly book. There are no redeeming qualities except making me laugh. It's a quick easy read.

Funny and entertaining, imaginative, with some whimsy and appreciation of the differences in humanity, to an extent. A few problematic stereotypes and ableist language. Maybe that’s related to when it was written, but it did detract from my enjoyment. I’ll listen to the third book in this series, and then I think I’ll have had my fill of Moore’s writing, at least for a while.
Quite a ride, LOL in most chapters. A master story teller and observer of human nature.
I just reread this book. Whenever I need a good laugh, this Christopher Moore book is his best I think. Who says nothing happens in Pine Cove, California? I would outline the plot but it just seems too weird to write down. The title says it all. Oh yeah, and Theo Crowe solves a murder.
Another quick, fun read. Set in the same little town as Practical Demonkeeping, but now it's a B-Movie threat, rather than a demon.
This was a pretty funny, light hearted read. It got pretty silly towards the end, but there were some good moments too. Christopher Moore is a great writer, I wish more of his books were more like Sacre Bleu and less like this one.
