I read this anthology for British Romanticism.
While it was a wonderfully accumulated set of poems, prose excerpts, and biographies, I did not particularly enjoy the work that was written during the time of British Romanticism. Therefore, I enjoyed this anthology about as good as I possibly could, but it still was not for me; I would not have read this book if not for class.

A great choice if you're looking for an in depth overview of Victorian poetry and prose, along with very helpful, in depth analyses of the times, society, and Victorians themselves. A textbook, not a pleasure read, unless you really enjoy Victorian lit.
