wowowoowowowowowoowowowowowowoowow. what an amazing look at so many theories and how power is made, what it does to it, how culture shapes it. etc etc etc. actually im fulled gutted i listened to this on audiobook. now i have to get a physical copy just to mark everything i learned and found interesting. it really provides so much insight on current leaders and corruption. my friends are probably so sick of me telling them to read it. they are going to continue to feel that way until they read it♡

I guess more of a 3.5. Some points compelling but it felt repetitive to me just with different examples.

Corruptible by Brian Klaas--Here, Klaas looks at the nature of power itself and of those who are drawn to it. By interviewing cult leaders, government officials, and CEOs, and drawing on scientific analysis, he puts together a framework of maintaining power well and selecting good (or at least, avoiding selecting bad) leaders. It's a straightforward but compelling book. Thumbs up.
