Je suis pas mécontent d'avoir lu ce livre mais je n'en suis pas fier ni satisfait pour autant. C'est divertissant mais dans le fond il est assez graveleux et hypocrite. Il brocarde les ragoteurs mais ne fait qu'en parler. C'est une sorte de compilation de tous les dérapages dans le milieu hollywoodien des années 20 aux années 60. Les carrières torpillées par la drogue, la débauche sexuelle, les meurtres et les suicides. On en ressort avec quelques idées de films à visionner d'une période charnière du cinéma avec le début du cinéma parlant dans un contexte économique particulier, les années folles et le krach boursier.

Definitely an interesting read with information you weren’t aware of, but some of it is assumptions and opinions which reads more as the authors diary. Wouldn’t read as informational but as interesting assumptions.
I'm not sure I would have read this on my own if I wasn't reading along with the latest season of You Must Remember This. Fact-checking this for the last few months has been interesting, but in general Kenneth Anger's style isn't for me.

Even though these myths have been debunked throughout the years, it still was a fun read. If you're interested in finding out more about the legends in the book, I recommend listening to Karina Longworth's podcast "You Must Remember This," particularly the season about the truths about these tall tales (Fake News: Fact Checking Hollywood Babylon).
