Wow.

The artwork beautiful, the story solid but not mind-blowing, this is Thor the way I want it to be, for the most part. Existing in, but not mired within, mythology, with some fun action and interesting issues to deal with. Of the few limited Thor stories I've read, this one is the most encouraging, and I'll definitely be keeping up with it in the short term.

This is one of the best Marvel/Avengers comic books that I've ever read. It's fast paced, mysterious, and it engages you very early on. The illustrations are eye catching and the plot was interesting. I loved seeing all the different gods both made-up and different cultures from earth. I'm already trying to figure out how to make my money stretch to buy the rest in the series.

I only wish it added the final comic. The whole fight between Thor and the god Butcher.

As a non-comic book person sent here by a love of the MCU, this is an excellent place to jump in. Strong villain, compelling character, and simple setup with fascinating ramifications.

I haven't read much in the way of Thor stories but when I heard about a new story that I could dig into even without much knowledge of the character, I jumpred in and from the beginning this trumped expectation. Gorgeous artwork and a story that encompasses time travel, three Thor's fighting to save the gods and a very interesting take on religion and the idea of god.

Though it only contains 5 issues Thor God of Thunder is a wonderful title I implore you to read. I've never read a comic other than Johnathan Hickman's Avengers where Thor was this compelling.

It does what all good comics do which is make me want to read more of the character

Aside from a few moments of utter confusion this comic was incredibly entertaining.

Someone or something is running around murdering gods leaving their corpses with faces frozen in terror. Thor has made it his personal mission to hunt down and destroy this 'God Butcher' in order to avenge those who have died, protect Asgard, and ultimately, to save himself.

There are three different time periods with a younger pre-hammer Thor, a current Thor, and a very very old Odin-looking Thor. The change in time was not always noted and the younger pre-hammer Thor looked very similar to the current Thor.

Once I got my mythologies and time periods straight the plot was easier to follow. I love the idea that there is someone running around trying to kill all the immortals in every world.

Overall, the art was smooth and the story was exciting and engaging. This was a quick read partly because it is such a fast-paced page turner. The story has a few dark and violent moments but also a few glimpses of heart and humor. I especially loved the librarian in Omnipotence City!
