I've always heard enthusiastic stories about Dragonlance as a setting with a lot of lore and potential for storytelling. The world really does seem like a lot of fun to run a D&D-game in and that's basically what this book was. A fun adventure, with characters that as of now aren't really that deep yet. I got the impression that all of them were pretty flat.

I haven't read it in quite a while but I love the world of Dragonlance and I find M. Weis and T. Hickman to be my favorite authors

So this book (and series) was recommended to me by my best friend who usually doesn't dabble much in this genre, so I knew it had to be interesting if she liked it so much.

I have to say that I quite enjoyed it, I do like a sweeping story where there's a lot of characters to focus on. I think my main complaint, which I've had with other books, is that the titles of the chapters sometimes ruin any surprise. Really, a little mystery isn't a bad thing, try to be a little more cryptic. I don't wanna say this is the best book I've ever read, but it's an interesting story. All and all, I'm up for book 2!!

Very enjoyable, fast paced, adventurous book. They did a good job of building the world slowly so as not to dump too much info on you at once. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series and seeing where the story goes.

Still worth a reread, not quite as good as I remembered it, but still a solid 3 stars.
