Cute and interesting plot

That was actually so good. Idk if it’s really 5 star quality but that’s how much I enjoyed it.

What the heck did I just read?

This book made me sob, sob and ugly cry from the very beginning. It broke my heart, reshaped it and then made it anew. I can’t even say how good the book is because my words are nothing compared to the beautiful way she wrote. I could feel, feel the pain to my bones. The mist, fog, and rain, I could feel them. I could hear the rain, the clicking, and the heartbeats and all I want is to go back and start it again so I can stop missing this world.

This started really promising for me but then I started having a hard time developing a connection with the characters or the plot.

The dialogue and the pacing didn't feel right for me personally. It felt very choppy and gave me this weird sense that I had to hurry through the book.
I really wanted to love this as it was a nice story and I did want to know what happened but sadly I just couldn't get fully into it.

I would still recommend this books to others to try out. I'm just sad that it wasn't for me!

I read this as an audiobook and it's the first one I've ever finished! It was really really good. I didn't see any of that ending coming. I loved Isabel and Erik. And all the side characters who have names I can't remember at the moment. (I'm sorry) And the romance in this. Ahhhhh. It was perfect. I loved every second of it. I need the second one after that ending please, I'm begging you.

The book was cool. I liked that Isy was not trained for spying and was not some kind of bad ass, I especially liked that she was never naturally gifted at being a spy for no reason. She was honestly atrocious and it was great watching her fumble around. I also liked her motivations for agreeing to do this despite it being very VERY outside of her comfort zone and I enjoyed that she never lost site of it while at the same time didn’t feel the need to remind readers ever page. It was mentioned every now and 5en but not in a way I would describe as unnecessary or obnoxious. My qualms with the book however and why I gave it a three is that it was predictable. I called the “twist” from the beginning of the novel, and because of that I got bored around 70% through and was never drawn in again. I also thought that something should have happened before Erik and Isy bonded. Like, it sort of felt love at first site despite it being an enemies to lovers trope.
