This was lighthearted and cozy but still a gripping murder mystery. The main characters were truly lovable. Elizabeth was a force to be reckoned with, Joyce was pure joy, Ron was fiery and on his high horse and Ibrahim was an adorably enthusiastic bookworm. Together they were unstoppable and 100% entertaining.

I liked the humor of the novel as there were plenty of quippy liners and despite having heard this novel had a lot of British humor in it (which worried me as an American that I wouldn’t get the humor) but it was still enjoyable. I think the ending was underwhelming and I got a bit loss on the details. However, since I need to read finish the second book for a book club, I will be continuing with the series (and I did genuinely enjoy my time with it)

This book is amazing! Such diverse characters and was written in a way that I felt like I was there, or I wanted to be there! I felt connected to the characters and their stories. I didn’t expect to like it so much.
