I'm a bit torn on how I feel about this book. I think maybe I went in with the wrong expectations. I tried getting it back last October from the library thinking it would be a bit spooky. Finally my library got it in March and honestly, it wasn't at all scary. I'm a major chicken and it doesn't take much to spook me and this book wasn't it. I had to double check the tags. I have no idea how this was labeled as a horror novel.

That being said, it was an enjoyable book. You slowly unravel bits and pieces of a cult and their god. Figuring out what is true and what's not.

I don't know who I would recommend the book to though. I've put a lot of thought into it and I just don't know who the market is. It's either going to be a hit or a miss.

It’s a well written book that I enjoyed. There are good twists and interesting characters, but I was looking for something with more horror. I didn’t really find this book scary or suspenseful, but that’s a personal thing.

DNF at 48% done. I really tried and wanted to get into this book, but halfway through and I was not interested in what was happening or caring about what happened next.
