I don't know why I keep reading these books. The world is fun, but weirdly familiar (and it shouldn't be). The main characters are getting boring. The action went on and on and on, but it felt tired rather than, like the first book, exciting. I'd read the first one again, but these need to be done or re-vamped.

I think some of the pull of these books is the sex, but, like a long-term relationship, the author seems to only have a few descriptions up her sleeve. It's very heteronormative and kinda dull, if you're looking for sex.

I really enjoyed this. There are clearly unresolved plot points that hopefully mean there’s more to come. I didn’t always agree with everything regarding the writing, but I do really enjoy this world and the characters that fill it.

Nothing like the rest of the Crescent City Series. Did SJM even write this? 

What was the point of all the unfinished business in CC2 if we just abandon those storylines or seemingly forget about them?

Why was Fury left to “babysit”? Why was Bryce such a brat this entire book? What was the point of Sigrid’s entire side plot?! 

I’m so disappointed that I waited years for this book until is almost DNF it multiple times because it doesn’t even seem like Sarah wrote it.

This whole series felt like it was trying to do too much. The pacing of this one specifically was a little slow, and all the side stories (like with Ethan and the wolves) took away from the plot/main storyline for me.
