I can't be the only person on goodreads who hates Jane Austen, can I? Another book I had to read for my undergraduate course, and yes writing an essay on it might have killed whatever enjoyment I could have otherwise squeezed out of it, but deep down I know that's not the case. I just can't stand her. It's a deeply ingrained loathing that I doubt I'll shake.

The worst Jane Austen novel I’ve read
—————————
I’ve read and loved all of Austen’s other novels and this one fell flat.

The plot was too slow for my taste and couldn’t hold my interest.

I know most women in Austen’s novels are slightly dramatic but Marianne is on a whole other level.

As an avid reader I decide I must read a Jane Austen book, but sadly I just didn’t love it. I struggled with the age difference in the love matches and the fact that a character could talk to another character the whole book but end up marrying her sister. There was a lot of characters and a lot of conversation back and forth and it all just got a bit much. I was saved by the fact it was narrated by the gorgeous Kate Windsor but otherwise this was not for me
