I just really wanted it to be over already. Definitely not Mitch Albom’s best work. I do better with characters that I can care about, but this was more concept driven. Not my cup of tea

Felt preachy at parts and I rolled my eyes at a couple of plot holes but otherwise found it enjoyable and the overall message comforting.

This book was definitely interesting to me. It’s the first book I’ve read from this author. I did not expect it to feel like a mystery but I loved that. It didn’t end particularly how I expected (plot) but did end almost exactly how I expected (tone) with some details thrown in to each side.

It did feel pretty preachy, but I can’t tell how much of that was the point of view I personally read it with, how much was intentional characterization, and how much was just the book.

I won’t read it again and I can’t think of anyone in particular that I hope will read it, but I am glad that I read it.
