la prosa modernista inglesa es una cosa... creo que requiere de un poco de contexto histórico y de conocimiento acerca de las intenciones del autor. un poco truño al principio, pero le cogí el gustirrinín al final.
What a lark! What a plunge! I'm sure this one will stay close to my heart forever. The way Woold describes people, suave yet strikingly honest, is remarkable.
Peter Walsh, by far, is my favourite character here. Even if he lived in the next century, i.e. now, I'm sure nothing, except for the non-living would've been changed in this novel; for him. It makes me wanna laugh. But, really, it's making me sad. I'll lament till the day Walsh ceases to be an oddity. It's not his mishaps that I endorse, but his sense of identity, freedom of thought and choice; disillusionment.
