Geez, Ben pretty much breaks your heart, doesn't he? And the ending of this makes me want to immediately dive into Unbreakable, even though I need to read something else first. Dilemma!

My favorite parts were when he talked about all the things he loved about Janelle. It could have easily been written in a completely mushy gushy way, but that's not what happened here. His feelings just were, no fluff or frills, just love. I seriously love this boy. ♥

"The pivotal moments in your life are always made up of smaller pieces, things that seem insignificant at the time, but in fact brought you to where you needed to be."

ooh this one was good. I didn't expect to like it but the actual peek into the other worlds and to see what was happening was incredibly fascinating.

and, of course, the end left me dying to read on!

I loved this book! The insight on what Ben felt before and after meeting Janelle as well as going back to his old life in that other dimension. Now this is how a good book,e-novella or ehatever is written.
I feel like I got to know Ben a lot more deeply than what I percieved through Janelle's words in Unraveling and I liked what I read.
4 stars on these well done short stories.

Ben's story is perfect. :)

The way Norris broke the sections out was great ("Before She Knew Me", "When I Saved Her", and "After I Left Her") and having read book 2 before diving into this novella, it made sense as well as clarified some things for me.

There isn't really that much for me to say here other than I loved it. The fact that Ben basically calls himself out for being a stalker (but not the creepy kind) will tell you that he has a great sense of humor and completely judges himself. I love that about him. I was also able to get a better sense of just how much he holds himself accountable for the fact that he, Reid and Eli have been stuck here for 7 years and although she doesn't know it, Janelle is the one who has pretty much been the only person (other than Eli and Reid) that he cares about.

I'm normally not a huge fan of novellas just because but I did like this one since the other books didn't really give the reader anything concrete around Ben's life and relationships pre and post Unraveling and Unbreakable.

Well done and I definitely recommend this to anyone who has read the books in the Unraveling series.

It was very interesting to see things from Ben’s POV! I loved him already, but being in his head made me love him even more.

At just about every significant moment in my life, she was there. Whether she knew it or not.

The way Ben sees Janelle was incredible. He’s actually quite obsessed with her, but for some reason it was endearing rather than creepy. He changes his schedule so he can be in class with her, stands up for her and helps her even when she doesn’t know he exists. He sees her as practically a goddess, and loves her before he even meets her. It sounds absurd, but with him, it worked and it was convincing.

I liked finding out about things that happened that we couldn’t see from Janelle’s perspective. It was eerie to experience the accident through his eyes, to get the detail of exactly how bad Janelle was and how much of a miracle he performed by fixing her. We also got to experience what happened when Ben finally gets home, and how it wasn’t paradise like he’d hoped.

I also enjoyed seeing Ben’s world. The differences between our world and his were pretty cool, like: The traffic lights are red, yellow, and blue instead of red, yellow, and green; they have something called wafflecakes instead of plain waffles; the drinking age is only 18. Plus, their society leans more toward dystopian.

THAT'S where Ms. Norris decide's to leave Ben's story? I can't even think right now.

Gah, okay. So the first two of the short stories were great. I loved seeing things from Ben's perspective. It just underlined everything we knew about him already, and even though I didn't think it possible, gave him infinitely more depth.

Moving on to the third short story that bridges the gap between Unraveling and Unbreakable.. for the most part it was interesting to learn how his family were and how everything had changed. Tiny bit disappointed that we didn't get to meet Ian, but I can deal. The last few chapters however, things definitely heated up, and not in the good way. (Though I'm partial to the bad way so it's all good in my book). It was an unexpected ending, and now i'm damn near dying to find out what happens next. What more can I say? I thought I adored Ben before, I had no idea I'd come out of reading this obsessed with him.

There's a sneak peak at the first two chapters of Unbreakable at the end, which have just left me blinking rapidly at my kindle. For those who have read it, you'll know why. I'm sure when I can think properly again my brain's going to run wild with theories about how that's possible.

This novella has pretty much short circuited my brain with it's awesomeness.

I. NEED. UNBREAKABLE. IN. MY. LIFE.
